It's what makes St. Louis St. Louis! No trip here is complete without a visit to the national park and landmark that makes St. Louisans everywhere utter our favorite phrase upon catching sight of it looming on the horizon: "Hey, there's The Arch!" (Elevator trips to the top are not for the claustrophobic, height-o-phobic, arch-o-phobic, or those with a justified fear of Illinois, which, sadly, is visible from the top of our magnificent edifice to catenary curves.)
Both Will and Darby hung out on The Loop as college students - go check out this fun and eclectic collection of bars, shops, restaurants, and trolley tracks. (Actual trolley not found.)
One of the great urban parks of the United States, Forest Park includes an incredible array of free museums, a world-class zoo, and miles of lovely nature trails. Darby has taught Will about dozens of local bird species while on birding expeditions along those trails - see who you can spot!
The site of our wedding venue!
Beyond the Piper Palm House, Tower Grove Park is a lovely urban greenspace that we visit every spring and fall to watch migratory birds. We highly reccomend spending some time in the park to enjoy the outdoors, appreciate the birds, and perhaps play some pickleball!
